The «Hellenic Cosmos» Cultural Centre welcomes from November 1st the theatrical play "The Verdict" by Barry Reed, adapted for the stage by Margaret May Hobbs. The role of the fierce and uncompromising lawyer in a dark and complex case is portrayed by the exceptional Grigoris Valtinos. After the huge success of "DA" by Hugh Leonard, with Grigoris Valtinos in the leading role, Petros Zoulias takes on the task of directing a deeply social courtroom drama in an ambitious production by the Foundation of the Hellenic World and Thiasis Cultural Actions.

Self-Awareness Program at the «Hellenic Cosmos»
Vasiliki Efremoglou, Mental Health Counselor and Specialist in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Sofi Paschali, Mental Health Counselor and Therapist, meet at the «Hellenic Cosmos» Cultural Centre. The experiential self-awareness program took place last season with great success, and after the overwhelming response we received, we continue with enthusiasm. This program consists of 10 seminars, which are uniquely designed to combine theory and practice. Our goal is to offer you the opportunity not only to gain a deeper understanding of human consciousness and its potential, but also to understand how you can apply this knowledge to your daily life.

Dangerous Mission on the Walls of Byzantine Thessaloniki
After the death of Emperor Manuel I Komnenos in 1180, a period of disintegration and decline begins for Byzantium, which culminates in the Fall of Constantinople to the Crusaders of the 4th Crusade in 1204. During these years, the Byzantine state is plagued by uprisings and civil strife, while the central authority is unable to control the territory. In this turbulent environment, Alexios, an exiled nephew of Manuel, emerges and urges the Normans of Sicily and their king, William II, to turn against Byzantium. Indeed, the Norman army captures Dyrrachium and advances towards Thessaloniki.

Travel to Athens of the 5th century BC, where you will see all the buildings that were on the "Sacred Rock" reconstructed before your eyes in every detail and to their actual scale and dimensions. Using new technologies, the viewer has the opportunity to admire the most complex buildings of the Acropolis from an architectural perspective, such as the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Propylaea, as well as the statues that adorned them in 3D and in their natural colors, as they were when they were created.

The "Tour of the Ancient Agora" shown in the "Tholos" is entirely produced by the Foundation and is part of its broader focus on Greek history and culture. Viewers are guided through the area of the Ancient Agora, and with the guidance of a specialized museum educator, they have the opportunity to choose their own path. The representation of the Agora at three different moments in its history allows visitors to understand its evolution over time and the changes in the functions of the space from one era to another, as reflected in its architectural and urban planning differences.

A complete virtual tour of the sacred site of ancient Olympia in the 2nd century BC. Monuments and sacred buildings come to life, giving visitors the opportunity to become "participants" in the events and rituals of the Olympic Games and to learn about the history of the city.

The city of Miletus on the western coast of Asia Minor, one of the most important cities of Ionia, is revived in the Virtual Reality production "A Walk Through Ancient Miletus". Darwin: the Mystery of Nature
The 3D film titled "Darwin: The Mystery of Nature" is presented in the Tholos, the Virtual Reality theater of the Hellenic Cosmos, since November 2011. The film promises an adventurous journey of discovering the evolution of life on our planet through Darwin's eyes. The impressive graphics on the 360° screen of the Tholos, the music by the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, and the narration by actor Giannis Bezou, guarantee that the film "Darwin: The Mystery of Nature" will "enchant" both young and old.

The ancient city of Priene in Asia Minor, the most extensively excavated Hellenistic city of Asia Minor and an excellent example of Hellenistic architecture, comes to life in the IME production "Tour of Ancient Priene". With the presence of His Beatitude Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymos II, the completion event of the co-financed Project "Digitization of Sacred Relics of Parish Churches" with MIS 6003375, organized by the Foundation of Pastoral Education of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, was held with great success and a large turnout of guests on Thursday, October 3, at the «Hellenic Cosmos» Cultural Centre. The Foundation of the Hellenic World presents the virtual tour of the exhibition featuring the outstanding works selected by the Jury Committee as part of FHW's Panhellenic Art Competition titled: "Discovering the History of the Greek Revolution that Lives Near Me!", on the occasion of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the National Rebirth. Through a multitude of wonderful creations, the Competition's Jury Committee selected the winners, by age category, as well as the works that stood out to participate in the exhibition.

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary (1929-2019) of the inauguration of the major construction works of the Marathon Dam and the artificial Lake Marathon, EYDAP is exhibiting artifacts from its Historical Archive for the first time, presenting unpublished material. The Anniversary Exhibition "The Great Challenge" on the history of the Marathon Dam is held at the «Hellenic Cosmos» Cultural Centre (254 Piraeus Street, Tavros), from November 12, 2019, to March 29, 2020.
