First Aid became a performance!
The Foundation of the Hellenic World hosts at the
Theatron of the "Hellenic Cosmos" Cultural Centre
the interactive performance “Of course I can!”
by Angeliki Fostini & directed by Michalis Maragkos
A few words about the play
Can a decision change the game? What would happen if you watched a theatrical performance in which you could decide what happens next? What if, through an exciting game, you discovered knowledge that one day might prove truly valuable? First Aid became a performance, the performance becomes an experience, and the audience becomes part of the story!
It all begins when two parents decide to put on VR glasses to play a video game belonging to their child. They are drawn into the world of the First Aider and choose their avatars: Firsty and Aido. Two heroes, countless challenges and levels filled with missions they must complete. In this game, however, the most valuable power is one: knowledge of First Aid.
To pass all the levels, they need another strong player, and the First Aider knows exactly who that is… The audience! In an innovative way, the spectators vote, make decisions and determine the heroes’ next moves.
What is the right choice? How do we help someone who needs us? What do we do when time is running out? Every choice can change the game, and no performance is ever the same. Through humour, music, a fast pace and continuous interaction, the audience discovers that helping another person requires more than knowledge. It requires calmness, cooperation, responsibility and empathy.
When the performance ends, the experience continues... At the end of the performance, a certified First Aid Instructor discusses with the audience what happened on stage and answers questions, helping transform the adventure into valuable life knowledge.
The mission continues after the curtain falls! The performance may end, but the game continues! The audience receives their own secret code, which unlocks the online educational platform. There, through games and interactive challenges, they continue to discover the world of First Aid, complete new missions and win the Little First Aider Award! There is also rich educational material for teachers, bringing the experience of the performance into the classroom!
International evaluation
The initiative has been approved and scientifically evaluated by the international organisation Rescue Training International (RTI) in terms of its educational value, the accuracy of its content and its compatibility with international First Aid guidelines.

Part of the “Every Child a Hero” initiative
The educational initiative “Every Child a Hero” and the interactive First Aid performance “Of course I can!” can be incorporated into the Skills Workshops, with a direct connection to the thematic cycle “Living Better – Well-being” and, more specifically, the “HEALTH: Self-care – Safety” unit, which includes First Aid, as well as the cycle “I Care and Act – Social Awareness and Responsibility”. It can also be selected as an independent educational and recreational school trip, combining the theatrical experience with knowledge that is useful for life.
