The Innovation Competition for Startups and innovative entrepreneurial teams in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR), organized by the Foundation of the Hellenic World as part of the 2026 Thessaloniki International Fair, was successfully completed.

The winning teams are:
1st Prize: The team from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with its proposal for the “Smart Mirror”, an innovative solution supporting independent and safe living at home. The application harnesses technology as a daily care tool, enabling the monitoring of the user's autonomy, safety and well-being.
2nd Prize: UniWattAI, which develops software that predicts electricity costs and demand and automatically decides when a building, a fleet of electric vehicles, a factory, a photovoltaic park or a battery should use, store or sell energy, with the aim of achieving lower costs and higher revenues.
3rd Prize: DiagnAll, a Greek healthtech startup developing Cardion, a small, non-invasive wearable device placed on the chest that records the user's electrocardiogram. Using Artificial Intelligence algorithms, it analyzes the cardiac signal and provides a personalized assessment of increased heart attack risk, up to one week before its occurrence.
The winners received gift vouchers from PLAISIO SA worth 1,000 euros, 500 euros and 300 euros for the first, second and third prizes respectively.
In addition, Deloitte offered direct access to the final selection process for the next cycle of the Deloitte StartUp Accelerator, which will take place in Patras.
The Competition highlighted innovative ideas and applications that harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence and XR technologies, creating solutions with prospects for growth and a meaningful impact on the economy and society.

The Foundation of the Hellenic World will continue to support the winning teams, offering networking opportunities with businesses, investors, institutional and technology organizations, guidance for the further development of their proposals, and connections with potential sources of funding and investment opportunities.
Warm congratulations to the winners, as well as to all the teams that participated and presented their own applications of tomorrow.
We warmly thank the sponsors of the Competition, PLAISIO SA and Deloitte, as well as Startupper, Media Sponsor, for their valuable support.
