The "Hellenic Cosmos" Cultural Centre welcomes the official theatrical production «Elmer, the Patchwork Elephant», inspired by the award-winning books by David McKee (Andersen Press), inviting young and old alike to a unique experience filled with music, colours, humour and valuable messages.

This is an original Greek theatrical production with original text, music and lyrics and three-dimensional puppets that bring to the stage the values that make Elmer beloved by millions of children around the world.
A few words about the play
In a herd of elephants, everyone is different. One is tall, another short, one is large, another small. Yet they all have the same colour: grey.
Everyone… except one. Elmer is colourful! With his cheerfulness, jokes and liveliness, he spreads smiles and proves that diversity is what makes the world more beautiful.
The elephants are enjoying a beautiful morning in the jungle when suddenly heavy rain breaks out. In the rain, something unexpected happens: an elephant begins to… lose his colour!
It is Elmer, who had painted himself grey so as not to differ from the others.
A little later, an even bigger problem appears. The rainbow has lost all its colours and has turned grey.
Elmer decides to embark on a great journey with his cousin, Wilbur, to find the beginning of the rainbow and give its colours back to it. Will they succeed?
A tender adventure full of laughter, music, surprises and emotion, which speaks to children about acceptance, friendship, cooperation, generosity and the power of uniqueness.
The performance encourages every child to love what makes them special and discover that diversity does not divide us; it unites us.
