The Fascinating Experience

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Jules Verne, one of the most important authors of all time and a pioneer of science fiction, the "Hellenic Cosmos" Cultural Centre presents the international interactive exhibition "JULES VERNE 200: The Fascinating Experience." Athens is one of the major stops on the exhibition's international tour, which has already attracted millions of visitors worldwide and will conclude with its installation in Paris in 2028.
This is an original experience that combines technology, imagination and adventure, inviting visitors of all ages to discover the extraordinary universe of the author who inspired generations of explorers, scientists and creators. 
Immersive 360° Projections
The experience reaches its climax with a spectacular immersive film lasting approximately 25 minutes, in which the entire space is transformed into a panoramic digital world. Visitors travel from the depths of the oceans to the centre of the Earth and from the balloons in the sky to the Moon, experiencing an immersive audiovisual journey inspired by Jules Verne's most important works.
VR 360°: The Journey Through Verne's Life
An immersive virtual reality experience that transports you to the places where Jules Verne lived, travelled and found inspiration. From his birthplace in Nantes to the ports, seas and images that gave rise to his greatest works, visitors follow the most important moments in the author's life and discover how reality was transformed into literature and imagination into vision.
VR Exploration (MetaVern)
In this pioneering free-roaming experience (Free Roaming VR), visitors become explorers themselves. They walk through Jules Verne's world, discover fantastic landscapes, impressive machines and inventions at real scale, and interact with the environment in an experience that combines cutting-edge technology and storytelling.
Verne's Machines
In an interactive installation, visitors of all ages design six of Jules Verne's most iconic machines and watch them come to life digitally before their eyes. At the same time, they discover how the author's bold ideas foreshadowed many of the technological developments of the modern world.
The Life and Work of Jules Verne
Through a rich biographical and historical tribute, visitors discover the life and work of the author, the influence he had on science, cinema and modern literature, as well as his particular references to Greece and Greek culture.
Objects and Representations
The exhibition features impressive exhibits, three-dimensional representations and models inspired by Verne's most important works. The legendary Nautilus, Captain Nemo's submarine, stands out, along with iconic machines, vehicles and scenes that marked the history of science fiction.
Scientific Documentation
The exhibition is complemented by a biographical timeline, authentic archival material, documents and exhibits that highlight Jules Verne's relationship with science, technology, cinema and contemporary visual culture.
The scientific documentation of the content is supported by Société Jules Verne, one of the most important international organizations dedicated to the study and preservation of the author's work.
Original Symphonic Music
The experience is accompanied by original music by internationally acclaimed composer Rafel Plana, specially recorded for the production by the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra & Choir, creating a cinematic atmosphere that enhances the emotional power of the journey into the world of Jules Verne.
The "Jules Verne 200: The Fascinating Experience" is not simply an exhibition. It is a journey into the power of human imagination and a reminder that every great discovery begins first as a dream.
