The Foundation of the Hellenic World, after the huge success of the summer tour, welcomes the new satirical comedy «Neither Forward nor Backward» by Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Reppas, produced by the company Methexis of Christos Tripodis. Starring: Antonis Loudaros, Matilda Maggira, Panos Stathakopoulos, Stavros Nikolaidis, Dimitra Stogianni, Manos Ioannou and Katerina Zarifi.
The play «Neither Forward nor Backward» is a hilarious reflection of contemporary Greek reality, with music and songs, satirizing the here and now. What happens in our homes, on the streets, in squares, on television, on social media.
Everything that unites us and everything that divides us as modern Greeks, with a quick, revue-style look, on the razor’s edge. Pieces and fragments of life and stories of everyday madness like brief flashes that condense what despairs us and what gives us hope.
Seven wonderful comic actors constantly change roles to manage, within an hour and a half and eleven short sketches, to create a galaxy of characters who resemble us and often annoy us, but we love them.
The heroes of the play are us, our neighbors, our relatives, our friends, and our colleagues. Or rather, not exactly us, but our caricatures! The performance is the selfie of a society dazed by the dizzying speed of developments in society, technology, and politics.
