PETER BROOK
BATTLEFIELD
Time 21.00
In English with Greek subtitles

Bright, simple and at the same time magical, the new production by the living legend of theatre narrates a powerful story that speaks about the search for reason in a fragmented world.
“Battlefield” draws its inspiration from a part of the "Mahabharata", in which the Bharata family is torn apart by war and faces the horrors it has experienced.
Peter Brook reworked the text anew with his long-time collaborators Jean-Claude Carrière and Marie-Hélène Estienne.
A parable of the times we live in, “Battlefield” is timeless and contemporary and raises the question how we can find inner peace in a world torn apart by conflicts, deaths, and destruction.
