Celebration of the Ten Years of the "Hellenic Cosmos" and Opening of the New Building "Theatron"
The Foundation of the Hellenic World celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Cultural Centre "Hellenic Cosmos" and the opening of the new building "Theatron" with two events that took place on March 20 and 21, 2008. The event of March 20 was addressed by H.E. the President of the Republic Mr. Karolos Papoulias, while the event of March 21 was honored by the presence of the Minister of Development Mr. Christos Folias.

Theatrical Multimedia Performance for the 10 Years of the "Hellenic Cosmos"
On June 3, 2008, a contemporary theatrical multimedia performance was presented at the "Theatron", as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the "Hellenic Cosmos". The original theatrical event, which aptly depicted the vision, goals and course of the Cultural Centre, under the direction of Giannis Kakleas, set the tone for the event.

Ο Έρωτας κι ο Ουρανός - Ένα αφιέρωμα στη Λίνα Νικολακοπούλου
Στις 16 και 17 Μαΐου 2008 η Επιτροπή Γονέων για το Ταμείο Υποτροφιών του Κολλεγίου Αθηνών - Κολλεγίου Ψυχικού διοργάνωσε στο «ΘΕΑΤΡΟΝ» δύο συναυλίες με τίτλο «Ο Έρωτας κι ο Ουρανός - Ένα αφιέρωμα στη Λίνα Νικολακοπούλου».

«Δίαυλοι» - Μια παράσταση της Hellenic Dance Company
Στις 30 Ιουνίου και την 1η Ιουλίου 2008 τριάντα νέοι χορευτές παρουσίασαν στο «ΘΕΑΤΡΟΝ» του «Ελληνικού Κόσμου» πέντε χορογραφίες Ελλήνων και ξένων δημιουργών, στην παράσταση «Δίαυλοι» της Hellenic Dance Company, η οποία δημιουργήθηκε από την Κρατική Σχολή Χορού. Η παράσταση πραγματοποιήθηκε με τη συνεργασία του Ιδρύματος Μείζονος Ελληνισμού και την οικονομική υποστήριξη του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού.

Educational Programs
The "Hellenic Cosmos" Cultural Centre offers Educational Programs for children aged 5 to 8, which are designed and implemented by the Museum Education – Educational Department and take place in all fully equipped indoor and outdoor areas of the "Hellenic Cosmos".
The choir of the Foundation of the Hellenic World invites children and teenagers aged 8 to 18, who love music, to become part of a vibrant community of sound, expression, and joy under the guidance of music educator Matthia Spitadaki.
Η εναλλακτική θερινή κατασκήνωση του «Ελληνικού Κόσμου» επανέρχεται για ακόμα ένα καλοκαίρι, προσφέροντας δημιουργική απασχόληση, ψυχαγωγία και πολύ-πολύ παιχνίδι. Φέτος το Καλοκαίρι, γιορτάζουμε τα 20 χρόνια της Θόλου, του θεάτρου εικονικής πραγματικότητας του Κέντρου Πολιτισμού «Ελληνικός Κόσμος» και σας προσκαλούμε να περάσετε μαζί μας αξέχαστα! Το «Καλοκαίρι στην Πόλη» μεταμορφώνεται σε μια μεγάλη ξεχωριστή γιορτή φαντασίας, γνώσης και δημιουργίας. Σε αυτή τη γιορτή οι καλεσμένοι δεν είναι συνηθισμένοι : θεοί, ήρωες της ελληνικής μυθολογίας, επιστήμονες και καλλιτέχνες κάνουν την εμφάνιση τους. Μύθος και πραγματικότητα ενώνονται, δημιουργώντας μια εμπειρία που συναρπάζει!
The “Hellenic Cosmos” welcomes the new school year with new educational programs and activities that cater to all age groups. The programs are designed and implemented by the Museum Educators Department. Children are encouraged to collaborate, observe, investigate, and create.

Our own person, Thrasivoulos Giatsios, has passed away.
With great sadness we bid farewell to Thrasivoulos Giatsios, a person with deep love for culture and theatre, with vision, sensitivity and dedication to his work. He left his personal imprint on the Foundation of the Hellenic World and on those who had the fortune to collaborate with him. His absence leaves a great void. His memory, however, as well as his work and ethos, will continue to accompany us.

Official Premiere of the Performance “Our Great Circus” by Iakovos Kambanellis
On Monday, January 19, the official premiere of the historically significant work “Our Great Circus” by Iakovos Kambanellis took place, with music by Stavros Xarchakos and directed by Petros Zoulias. The play follows, in a dramatic yet humorous way, the course of Greek history, accompanied by deep emotion and numerous historical references.

The Foundation of the Hellenic World and the Hellenic Center for Cinema, Audiovisual Media and Creation - Creative Greece signed a Memorandum of Cooperation defining the framework of their joint actions in the field of digital games, creative technology, and immersive emerging technologies. The Memorandum was signed by Ms. Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou, Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors of the FHW, and Mr. Leonidas Christopoulos, CEO of HCCAMC – Creative Greece.
