The Foundation of the Hellenic World takes part in the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair, which takes place from September 6 to 14, 2025.
The FHW, as the first institution to use new technologies and virtual reality for the promotion and dissemination of culture, welcomes the public at Pavilion 17, Stand 19 and invites you to explore some of the innovative applications it has developed, as well as the latest projects in which it participates.
The participation of FHW in TIF aims to highlight the potential of virtual reality technologies and to inform the public about developments concerning technology and culture.
Virtual Reality and 3D Visualizations

Are you ready to become an "assistant" of Phidias, one of the greatest sculptors of antiquity, and visit his Workshop in Olympia? To see what Attica looked like from the rock of the Acropolis 70 million years ago?
- The “Virtual Cinema” will transport you to monuments and places, not as they are today, but through their timeless evolution.
Augmented Reality
- Projection of characters and relics in life-size in the space through mobile devices.
- Visualize in your space the relics from Phthiotis, which are part of the project Digitization and Promotion of Religious Heritage of the Holy Metropolis of Phthiotis –e-HolyMet, implemented by the consortium of the Foundation of the Hellenic World, Talent SA, MainSys SA.
- Meet the pashas and chieftains of 1821 and take a photo with them through the project Digital historical exhibits, multimedia applications, encyclopedia/blog on the history of the revolutionary years, to be hosted in the modern cultural center/museum for history, culture, art, and technology of the Municipality of Megalopolis, implemented by the Foundation of the Hellenic World and Talent SA.

The Foundation of the Hellenic World and the Hellenic Film, Audiovisual, and Creative Media Centre signed a Memorandum of Cooperation defining the framework of their joint activities in the field of digital games, creative technology, and immersive emerging technologies. The Memorandum of Cooperation includes the following pillars of action: Education & Training, Research & Development, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Cultural Documentation & Digital Archiving, Extroversion & International Networking.
